Have you tried using zobo leaves (hibiscus flowers) to make cocktails?
A very easy way to experiment with it is by creating the Hibiscus Simple Syrup and then using it in some craft cocktails.
Here is the recipe for the syrup.
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 cups of water
- 3/4 cup of dried hibiscus flowers
Add all ingredients and bring the mixture to a boil; then reduce the heat to a simmer for about 10 mins or until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly.
Allow to cool and strain into a jar. You can store your syrup in a fridge.
You can use the hibiscus simple syrup to make cocktails. Try adding it to your gin and tonic cocktail and see how it comes out.
